What to buy at Safeway Aug 26 - Sept 1

Safewaygirl's plan: Grab all the sale burger fixin's (ground beef, buns, large tomatoes, packaged lettuce) and top them off with cake and ice cream for dessert. Also stock up on fancy Kashi cereals at a great price!

This week's receipt: Missed the FRI/SAT/SUN sales, forgot the coupons, but still managed to save 41%!

Best deal this time was the $1 cans of diced tomatoes. I stocked up on the ones that come pre-seasoned with basic, garlic, and oregano - I just heat them up and use them as a topping for pasta or polenta. So quick and tasty!
